I enjoyed taking on a persona and customizing a voice to meet my character's definition with an English accent. However, it's all about the underlying script I created for the story and vocal delivery, almost poetic sentences teasing the brain to further visualize. I tried to continue this tone in the following video as well. BTW, the "fear is the mind-killer" quote is by Frank Herbert from the original Dune book. It is all for fun at this point to create a short video. At some point in the future, I can develop my story further, including the plot line and characters, and turn it into a full movie as technology improves.

Tempest: Desert Fate, a galactic royal family, descendants of ancient rulers, embarks on a perilous quest across the galaxy to restore their power and wealth. Their mission is to harvest salt crystals from long-lost alien oceans under the right atmosphere and ionic conditions to become a powerful elixir, restoring health and beauty, enhancing memory, and, in rare cases, unlocking powers within. As they land on a remote desert planet rich in these coveted crystals, they face unforeseen challenges in a harsh and unforgiving environment.

The planet's light gravity and heavily ionized atmosphere render modern technology useless, thrusting the inhabitants into a primitive existence. The local inhabitants, Desert Scarabs, ancient humans that evolved millennia ago into a separate species, taught them to adapt and survive. The elixir, derived from the crystals, becomes their lifeline, sustaining their weakened bodies and unlocking visions and rare telekinetic abilities under the planet's lighter gravity.

Amidst this struggle for survival, a rival faction descends upon them, igniting a brutal conflict that tests the very limits of their endurance. The Queen's son, haunted by clouded visions of their downfall, foresees a dire future where only a few will survive, necessitating a departure from the planet. But his destiny is inexorably tied to the desert. He is drawn to a mysterious figure in his dreams, a specter of fate who calls him to remain and discover his true path.

Tempest: Desert Fate is a tale of conflict, survival, and destiny set against the backdrop of an otherworldly desert. It's a story where ancient wisdom clashes with futuristic aspirations, the struggle for power and survival unfolds on a planetary scale, and one's destiny can be as shifting as the sands they walk upon.

For those wondering about the device that looks like a Dune thumper, it is not but inspired by it. It is a "whisper," an encrypted communication device that uses sonic frequencies that resonate through the sand crystals, or the phrase also supports subversive verbal or written communications from "whispers," which could be enemy of foe. There is no license for a magic elixir. DUNE spice is made of excrement; mine is made from crystals from a past alien ocean impacted by certain properties of the planet's atmosphere. My character is guided by his visions to decipher his path, and the crystals enhanced his telekinesis and visions, not some inherited or taught power from an unknown source. I have always had this vision of the Desert Scarabs in my mind for a story for many years, and it doesn't come from any influence.

No, Dune has no license on desert themes, but I intentionally brought a few elements, given that comparison will occur anyway. I have been thinking about the story with Desert Scarabs for a very long time. They are past inhabitants who have evolved on the planet and discovered the crystals were needed to survive there. Think of them like monks, wise but well-trained to defend themselves and survive. I created another video to tell their story, and we understand the planet setting for Tempest is Earth, thousands of years after an alien war and unrecognizable as it turned into a harsh desert planet.

This is not a blockbuster, so chill. It's my creativity and engineering to consolidate a long story idea into 1+ minute for you! Think Star Wars+Dune+ any other galactic empire or kingdom, and the list goes on epic. Each has unique stories, characters, and plots, and some elements are driven by inspiration from others. The original Dune books inspired aspects of Star Wars; don't forget that. Dune 2021 is a modern version. I don't compare them and can't wait for Dune II.
